Additionally, NextGate has built the following complementary applications to enhance the technical components of the system and to improve the user experience. These products work in conjunction with eIndex, eView and Mural implementations.
MatchMetrix EMPI Data Quality Manager – a wholly redesigned user interface that can replace the Enterprise Data Manager GUI. The Data Quality Manager features greater search capabilities, convenient single page views of patient information, and enhanced merge and unmerge functionality.
MatchMetrix EMPI Reporter – an extremely useful utility that generates reports by Facility, System or User. Files are generated in PDF format, can be scheduled, and are available only to users with appropriate security compliance.
Event Tracker and Manager – a comprehensive data collector to aid in troubleshooting, message resend, and administrative queries. Any transactions flowing through the system can be captured to serve as historical data for site specific purposes.
PIX/PDQ Integration Profiles – the IHE standard integration method to identify, locate and exchange patient data across communities.
Upgrading to Active Implementation
NextGate can assist with the upgrade from a Passive to an Active implementation. Active mode takes the matching process to the end user for real-time record comparisons. For example, it allows a registrar to interact with the EMPI system at the point of registration and determine if the patient has a record anywhere in the system. Now, potential duplicates can be identified before they happen, and data can be cleansed immediately, in the presence of the patient.
This Active process can be deployed across most any system in your enterprise, not just the HIS. The user will see screen views that resemble their current system and experience efficient response times. Now, any point of entry can be enlisted to help improve the quality of data.
